Live Like A Local

Everyone has to eat. But there are times, for everyone, where cooking just doesn’t sound appetizing. Lucky you, because you’ve settled into a sweet little hotspot at The Curve at Melrose, putting you near any number of tasty dining options.

While you aren’t far from downtown proper, you may not feel like heading that way all the time. So, stay close to home.

Melrose Kitchen has you covered for breakfast and lunch. The colorful diner, located on 7th Avenue, serves up eggs, pancakes and waffles with the best of ‘em in the morning hours and transitions to burgers and patty melts for lunch. Be aware, they close up shop at 3 p.m. every day. It’s a can’t miss spot, because of both its colors and its flavors.

If you’re feeling slightly Taco Tuesday on a Wednesday, it’s cool. Head over to Phoenix Burrito House. The place has every craving covered, from carne asada to carnitas to green chile pork and red chile beef. They even do breakfast, too, including machaca, chorizo and huevos rancheros. Just be sure to answer your craving before 9 p.m., because that’s when they close.

And if you’re looking for even more local flavor, reserve the third Thursday of every month for Moonlight on Melrose.  Located at 700 W. Campbell, the gathering runs from 5-8 p.m. every month and brings together music, food trucks, vendors and neighbors, and features a vintage market.
